If an Air conditioning system is incorrectly sized it won’t work correctly to heat or cool the area and will cost you more money than it should to run.
Positioning of the indoor unit/s is also important so that air can circulate freely. For example a unit blowing across a hallway will not be as effective as one blowing along the length of the hallway.
The size and type of Air Conditioning required will depend upon several factors, including insulation, layout, number of windows and doors, number of people, appliances in the room, and the purpose of the Air Conditioning.

A poorly installed heat pump may appear to run fine for months or even years but can often fail for no apparent reason. If the fault is then found to be due to poor installation then the cost of the repair will not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty and it can be difficult to get an unqualified installer to honour his installation warranty, if he has one at all!

The filter associated with the indoor unit/s should be cleaned to ensure a good airflow. In addition the outside unit should be kept clear from greenery, the coil clean from blockage.
